Elmer Martinez is an artist based in New York, and the founder of Sacred Heart Studio. Drawing inspiration from New York culture, literature, nostalgia, and street art, he combines bold line-work with thoughtful storytelling to create work that feels expressive, personal, and enduring.

His creative practice spans sketching, illustration, charcoal, photography, and mirror engraving. Through Sacred Heart Studio, Elmer explores the connection between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary art. Each collection reflects an evolving creative journey shaped by the places, stories, and imagery that leave a lasting impression.

Made in the Studio

Every piece begins with an idea and a sketch before being developed into finished artwork. Each product is created, printed, inspected, packaged, and shipped by Elmer from his studio.

Depending on the size and artwork, prints are produced on either heavyweight, 100% cotton archival fine-art paper or premium matte paper. These materials are selected for their texture, crisp detail, deep blacks, and vibrant color. Each print is carefully inspected before being placed in a protective sleeve with sturdy backing for safe delivery.

Stickers are printed on premium waterproof matte vinyl, giving them a smooth, durable finish while preserving the artwork’s color and fine details. Each sticker is individually cut and inspected before packaging.

Mirror engravings are created individually by hand, transforming functional objects into one-of-a-kind works of art. Each design begins as a sketch and is carefully engraved with close attention to linework, composition, and detail, making every finished mirror unique.

Sacred Heart Studio is independently owned and operated. From the first sketch to the final package, every step is handled with care by the artist rather than outsourced to a print-on-demand company.
